Ethnoecology & environmental anthropology
Nicolas Lescureux

I am an ethnoecologist, CNRS researcher working at Centre for Functional and Evolutive Ecology (CEFE) in Montpellier, France.
My research is focusing on human - animal relationships and the way animal behaviour is influencing human perceptions, knowledge and practices. I have been doing research on human - large carnivores conflicts in Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Poland and Brazil.
I am now interested in domestic-wild relationships and the rewilding processes from an anthopological point of view, as well as questions about management of diversity in pastoral systems.
